We engaged The Deck Wizard over the period of nearly a year to conduct a series of projects on our home, mainly to restore or replace external elements of the house that had weathered.  This included house fascia, pergolas, decking and front steps.

 

We are very pleased with all aspects of the work undertaken. The quality of the materials and workmanship is excellent.  Richard and his team were always very polite and fitted in around the operations of a busy household, our comings and goings, bad weather and unexpected events.  Richard always provided early notice of his plans and he was easy to talk to about the work.

 

Whilst some of the work was intrusive, Richard suggested approaches to the work that minimised our inconvenience whilst allowing him to work smoothly and effectively.  The work was always completed promptly and we have had to no reason to call him back for rework.

Richard was very helpful in providing advice on the final design of our deck in the courtyard of our new townhouse. Originally we planned a minimalist deck to cover an area filled with mulch and a small garden. Richard suggested a better design to cover the whole courtyard to the sliding door to our lounge room. Now the decking, along with garden beds is an extension to our lounge room and provides a very nice outdoor alfresco area.

Richard also delivered by building our decking and garden one week before we moved in, which was our fault for not confirming the order to the last minute. Nonetheless, Richard and his crew worked all week to finish our deck so that we could move in on that weekend.

They are tradesmen that deliver and professional advice that improved on our original design to make a real difference to our new home. I highly recommend Richard and the Deck Wizard crew. They are fantastic.

The gutters were 1970's vintage and had been leaking for some time which had started to rot the fascia in some places. Having dealt with many trades people I was not expecting a quick reply to my online enquiry and was quite shocked when Richard called me within a few hours asking to come round that day to look at the area and discuss the job. He then arrived on time and discussed everything in detail with me. I was surprised as he spent so much time explaining the various options and aspects of the work. He then kept up this professional approach by sending me a full written quote within a few days.  I decided on the Deck Wizard based on Richards professional approach and my visits to two previous clients to ask how they had found dealing with the Deck Wizard. We agreed a lead time for the deck construction and as agreed Richard arrived on time and completed the deck as agreed within budget. I will add that I did a lot of research on decks and agreed the exact specifications with Richard so all parties were happy at the end. I can honestly say we love our deck.
